Condition
The buyer agrees to have read and accepted the terms and safety instructions, and thus assumes full responsibility for the handling and operation of LIZARDS fireplaces as well as the bioethanol they possess and use.
LIZARDS fireplaces operate exclusively with a flammable liquid, bioethanol. Its use requires a number of precautions to be observed. By fully adhering to these guidelines, you can safely use your burner.
Safety
• Failure to follow the rules below can lead to severe burns and fire hazards.
• Make sure to follow your fireplace's user manual and place it on a horizontal and stable surface.
• Only use "heating" bioethanol in the appliance's firebox; this type undergoes specific distillation and does not emit odors. Do not use petroleum products intended for other uses: gasoline, diesel, white spirit, methylated spirits, etc.
• When lighting the fireplace, keep children and pets away.
• Lighting, as explained in the user manual, should only be done with a lighter or match.
• No product should be added if the firebox is partially lit or in operation.
• Wait for the firebox to cool down before adding bioethanol and relighting the flame (at least 10 minutes).
• After combustion, if bioethanol remains in the tank, wait 10 minutes with the flap open (to allow ventilation) before relighting, due to residual vapors around the firebox.
• Do not handle the burner when it is lit, except to operate the closing slide. Do not blow on the flame to extinguish it.
• Keep fire extinguishing devices near the fireplace (fire extinguisher).
• In case of burns, contact the nearest hospital. Do not apply any greasy substances to the burn. If it is superficial and not extensive, only cool it with fresh water for several minutes. Consult a doctor if you have any doubt about the severity of a burn.
• Never dispose of fuel into water pipes or into nature. Respect the environment!
• Do not use in a room smaller than 10 m² without external openings and without ventilation. Only use your fireplace in sufficiently ventilated areas.
• Do not use the fireplace and its burner to cook food, heat water, grill meat, etc.
• Do not use the fireplace and its burner near flammable products: curtains, fabrics, furniture, etc.
• Do not use the fireplace and its burner if there are flammable gases in the room.
